Electronic Media

Our pre-press department operates on Apple Macintosh and supports the following software: QuarkXpress, Adobe CS5.5 including Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop and Illustrator.

The preferred method for presentation of your artwork is high-resolution pdf in CMYK format and with all fonts embedded.If you are unable to supply pdf: In order for us to output correctly please supply a proof (colour for colour advertisements), all graphic files (300dpi and CMYK colour) all fonts used, which will be deleted once your advertisement is published.

Unfortunately we cannot accept Pagemaker, Claris, Microsoft Word, Powerpoint or Publisher files. Preview images embedded in Word or Powerpoint are unacceptable.

Delivery

Once your advertisement is ready you can supply it via the following media: Electronic transfer ie pdf, jpeg or tiff attached to email or via CD ROM or DVD.

ALL advertisers are accepted on the understanding that any description and/or statements made by the advertiser are true and accurate and that the advertiser shall indemnify the publisher against any damage or loss of expense resulting from copy supplied by the advertiser or his agent.

Copy must be supplied to the publisher by the specified date with full instructions, whether or not solicited by the publisher. If copy has not been received by the specified date, the publisher reserves the right to repeat previous copy. Should no such copy be available alternative matter will be found to fill the space booked by the advertiser and the advertiser will be held responsible for payment.

Cancellations

Written notice is required 6 weeks prior to the date of printing for mono advertisements and 8 weeks prior to the date of printing for colour advertisements. Series discounts will be adjusted when applicable. The acceptance of an order does not confer the right to renew on similar terms. The publisher reserves the right to cancel, suspend or alter an advertisement. All advertisements must comply with the British Code of Advertising Practice.

The publisher will not be held liable for any loss occasioned by the failure of an advertisement to appear for any cause.

The publisher shall not be held liable for the loss or damage of any artwork, film or any other advertisement material delivered to him.

The following discounts will be allowed to recognised advertising agents: 10 per cent UK, 15 per cent overseas.
The publisher cannot accept responsibility for the accuracy of colour reproduction unless colour guide is supplied.
